Navigating college with a disability shouldn't mean going it alone. At Rising Tide Educators, our academic coaching services are designed to meet students where they are — building the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to thrive in higher education.

Working one-on-one with a trained coach, students develop personalized approaches to time management, organization, studying, and self-advocacy. Sessions are fully remote, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based practices that support the whole student! — not just their GPA.

At Rising Tide Educators, we are dedicated to empowering students with disabilities, along with their families and educators, to successfully navigate the complexities of higher education. Our expert team, composed of higher education and disability professionals, offers comprehensive support to address the unique challenges that students with disabilities encounter. We are committed to ensuring that every student has the resources and guidance they need to achieve their academic goals and thrive in their educational journey.

Rising Tide Educators works with Regional Center clients participating in California’s Self-Determination Program to provide individualized college life preparation and readiness support. Our unique approach helps students build the practical skills, strategies, and independence needed to successfully navigate the transition to and demands of college life. These services fall under the 320 classification, allowing eligible Self-Determination Program participants to incorporate this specialized support into their individualized plans and pursue their postsecondary goals with greater confidence and preparation.

Our training modules equips K–12 faculty and staff with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to effectively support students with disabilities in inclusive educational settings. Through a blend of evidence-based practices, real-world scenarios, and reflective activities, participants will deepen their understanding of diverse learning needs and explore how to create accessible, supportive, and high-expectation environments for all students. Our core training Empowering Educators: Supporting Students with Disabilities, workshop focuses on building the essential mindset and skills to support meaningful work with students with disabilities.
